"Chinese New Year is coming, let's trim your feet and haircut." - Volunteers from Hebei Cishi Charity Foundation in Baoding

On February 6, 2024, on the 27th day of the twelfth lunar month, a group of eight volunteers from the Hebei Cishi Charity Foundation in Baoding, together with the Hebei Provincial Cultural Exchange Association and the Party Branch, arrived at the Hebei Yihui Elderly Care Home in Baoding City to provide free foot and hair trimming cream and other services to over seventy elderly people, allowing them to have a refreshing and healthy year.

"My foot hasn't been fixed for four years, and I finally feel comfortable walking today!" With the joint efforts of volunteers Ma Cuiju and Li Yanxue, an elderly person with cerebrovascular disease finally smoothed and repaired his nails that were stuck in the flesh. The elderly person smiled happily. Beside the elderly person, another volunteer Yang Guang is providing free patches to help alleviate her long-standing leg pain. While chatting with the elderly person, she is also massaging their legs. Volunteer Wang Yanping used his massage techniques in conjunction with foot repair to soak the feet of the elderly and provide foot therapy services. On the other hand, a barber volunteer was cutting hair for the elderly in need, from 9am to 5pm, from the second to fourth floors, delivering volunteer services to more than ten elderly people. During the time of foot repair and hair repair, wherever the volunteers went, they left warm words of love from the volunteers and gratitude and laughter from the elderly.

An elderly person walked over and told us that your volunteer service was done very well, truly understanding the needs of the elderly. Thank you! After fixing the feet for an old man, he was moved and said, "I haven't washed my face properly since I entered the nursing home.". After repairing his feet, another old man repeatedly said thank you to the volunteers, with satisfaction and happiness written on his face. Delivering health and enjoying a peaceful year, through the caring service o volunteers, the elderly receive love and care, and the volunteers also receive full rewards. After the event, everyone unanimously decided that such volunteer service will continue to be persisted.
