Academician Chen Quanzhou Visits the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences to Participate in the China Russia Science and Technology Cooperation Ceremony

On the afternoon of December 8th, at 3:00 PM Moscow time, Academician Chen Quanzhou led a delegation to visit the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences in the snow.

Mr. Peter Blake, President of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, warmly received Academician Chen Quanzhou and members of the delegation, and the two sides had in-depth exchanges in a friendly atmosphere.

Chairman Blake said, "Welcome Academician Chen Quanzhou and his excellent team to visit the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences. Congratulations once again on Academician Chen Quanzhou receiving the highest honor medal of the Academy of Natural Sciences! We admire the outstanding contributions made by Academician Chen Quanzhou to the scientific and technological progress of China and Russia and the friendship between the two peoples."

Academician Chen Quanzhou introduced the Sino Russian scientific and technological cooperation and exchange since the establishment of the Cihang Group's foreign academician workstation, emphasizing the key directions and specific measures for future cooperation between the two sides.

Chairman Blake expressed admiration for the outstanding achievements of Academician Chen and his workstation, and is willing to work together with Academician Chen to contribute to Sino Russian scientific and technological cooperation and the well-being of the two peoples.

Lida Vladimirovna Ivanitskaya, Executive Vice Chairman of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, and other members of the presidium had fruitful discussions with Academician Chen Quanzhou and the delegation on future cooperation between the two sides.

Academician Chen Quanzhou stated that in the future, Cihang Group's foreign academician workstations will integrate advantageous resources, fully support Sino Russian scientific and technological project cooperation and the landing and transformation of high-tech, and contribute to the economic development and sustainable development of both countries!

Academician Chen specifically proposed cooperation measures:

Firstly, the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences provides excellent academician experts in various fields that can be implemented in China.

Secondly, we conducted research in 30 provinces in China to find partners and facilitate cooperation.

Thirdly, the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences provides a draft list of Chinese academicians to participate in the "Chinese Academician Tour" next year, and we are responsible for coordinating with the landing provinces, cities, and various fields.

Fourthly, both sides facilitated the establishment of the Russia China International Science and Technology Cooperation Federation, providing a high-quality cooperation platform for scientists from both countries.

The fifth is to sign a technology strategic cooperation agreement with the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, with goals and measures in place.

The Executive Vice Chairman of Lida stated that the constructive opinions of Academician Chen Quanzhou are pragmatic, efficient, and highly complementary, which are in line with the scientific and technological development needs and economic interests of both countries. The Russian Academy of Natural Sciences will provide specific implementation plans as soon as possible to elevate the scientific and technological cooperation between the two sides to a new height.

After the meeting, Academician Chen Quanzhou presented his poetry collection "Water and Moon Thousand" and gifts to the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences.
