Explore Smart Agriculture and Enjoy the Fun of Harvesting

"With radishes in hand, we pull together..." On October 17th, to the tune of the children's song about pulling radishes, a "Radish-Pulling Tug of War" parent-child activity took place at the Qiquan Citizens' Farm in Zhaolin Village, Baiduquan Township, Luquan District, Shijiazhuang City.

"Dad, come quickly, this radish is too big, I can't pull it out." "Don't worry, Dad will help you, let's put in some effort together!" At 10 o'clock in the morning, citizen Fan Shaojun brought his 5-year-old daughter to participate in the radish-pulling activity, and in no time, they pulled out eight big white radishes together. "My child is very happy. She's about to start elementary school and it's her first time participating in farm work. She said her art homework for next week will be drawing radish pulling!" Fan Shaojun said.

"Kids, did you know? This radish also has its own name, it's called 'Baiqiumeinong Radish.' It's particularly robust, not easily 'sick,' and its roots can grow to more than 60 centimeters. Look, with its leaves, it might be as tall as some of you," explained Mo Haixia, Deputy General Manager of Hebei Qiquan Tourism Development Co., Ltd.

On the morning of the 17th, more than 30 children, accompanied by their parents, participated in the "Pulling Radishes with Me" parent-child activity organized jointly by Qiquan Company and Relay Baton Maker Space. "Children need to get closer to nature, participate in some labor in the fields, and personally experience the joy of harvest and the hard work that goes into our food," said resident Li Baijiang.

The "Qiquan Citizens' Farm" is a "smart agriculture + cultural leisure tourism" project developed by Qiquan Company. Located in the smart agriculture park of the company in Luquan District, citizens can actively participate in planting, agricultural activities, and harvesting, experiencing 5G technology in agriculture. At the same time, they can also explore the beauty of Bailuquan and Lingyan Cave, enjoying a leisure trip that combines ecological interaction, sightseeing, and dining services.

"Combining smart agriculture with leisure and cultural tourism produces a synergistic effect where 1+1 is greater than 2. In the future, we will further leverage our strengths, improve the second phase of smart agriculture development in Qiquan, promote specialty cultivation and agricultural products, and introduce more down-to-earth interactive activities, contributing to the creation of 'One Village, One Product' and supporting rural revitalization." said Mu Yu, General Manager of Hebei Qiquan Tourism Development Co., Ltd.
