Cihang Group

Prevention and Control to Address Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

In response to the latest announcement by the National Health Commission regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), Cihang Group is closely monitoring the situation and actively complying with the requirements of government departments. To ensure the health and safety of our employees, we have implemented the following measures:

1)   Security, duty, and cleaning personnel must wear masks and gloves while on duty and take appropriate precautions. All equipment is disinfected with alcohol before each shift, and hand sanitizers are provided at the front desk.

2)   Strictly register all individuals entering the premises, conduct temperature checks, and disinfect. No entry is allowed for personnel from other organizations and tenants. Individuals with elevated body temperatures are not allowed to enter and are advised to follow proper isolation and observation procedures at home.

3)  Daily health checks of employees, including temperature measurements, to ensure everyone is in good health and to prevent anyone with illness from coming to work.

4)   Strict implementation of sanitation and cleaning procedures in indoor and outdoor public areas, including daily comprehensive disinfection. Increased ventilation, more frequent cleaning of restrooms, and the provision of disinfection supplies for handwashing. Elevator buttons, door handles, and any touchpoints are regularly disinfected and wiped down.

5)   Activation of a 24-hour emergency response mechanism with the necessary stock of disinfection and protective supplies (thermometers, masks, disinfection supplies, etc.), overseen by the office, property management company, and medical company to safeguard the health of our employees.

6)   Enhanced disinfection and ventilation in the company canteen. Strict monitoring and acceptance of food procurement to ensure the safety of meat and egg products. Regular disinfection of tableware and strict adherence to food safety protocols.

7)  Adherence to other protective measures in line with official instructions.

8)  All other units under the group are to follow suit.

As the same time, and for everyone's health, We kindly request all employees to:

1)  Take personal protective measures diligently.

Ensure you stay warm, exercise regularly, maintain a routine, and boost your immune system. Avoid participation in social gatherings, minimize outdoor activities, refrain from visiting crowded places, and if necessary, wear a mask properly, preferably a medical surgical mask. Develop good hygiene habits, including regular ventilation, and keep indoor spaces well-aired. Wash hands after coughing, before meals, after using the restroom, and after contact with animals or their excreta. In the case of coughing or sneezing, cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your elbow to prevent droplet transmission. If you or your family members develop cough, fever, or other symptoms, stay at home for isolation and seek medical attention if necessary.

2)  Cooperate fully with prevention and control efforts.

We are conducting thorough investigations and controls to prevent the spread of the virus, especially concerning employees with a recent history of residence in Hubei province, especially Wuhan, or close contact with individuals from these areas. Please report immediately to the group office or the offices of subsidiary units if you meet these criteria. Follow the instructions for self-isolation for 14 days and avoid visiting or interacting with others during this time. Employees should also jointly supervise and report if any individuals with such conditions do not comply with home isolation measures.

3)  Seek medical treatment promptly and scientifically.

During the period of home isolation, if you experience mild initial symptoms, such as poor appetite, fatigue, low spirits, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea; initial symptoms involving the digestive system such as headaches; initial symptoms involving the cardiovascular system, such as palpitations and chest tightness; or initial symptoms involving the eyes, such as conjunctivitis, please promptly report to your village committee (neighborhood committee). Follow the relevant procedures to visit a hospital, do not use public transportation, and avoid close contact with others.

4)  Maintain healthy eating habits.

Avoid the purchase and consumption of wildlife. Stay away from seafood and live poultry markets and avoid contact with wild or farmed animals. Ensure a balanced diet, consume fresh vegetables and fruits, and thoroughly cook all meat and egg products.

5)  Refrain from spreading rumors.

The internet is not a lawless space. All information regarding the epidemic should be confirmed from official sources. Spreading rumors and disturbing public order will be dealt with by public security agencies. We hope that all employees will refrain from sharing unverified information on the internet.

In conclusion, novel coronavirus infection is preventable, treatable, and controllable. There is no need to panic. We firmly believe that, with the personal attention of General Secretary Xi Jinping, the strong leadership and decision-making of the Central Committee, the State Council, and the leadership at all levels, together with the collective efforts of everyone, we can work together, take all necessary measures, and win the battle against the epidemic.
